I am pleased to invite you to participate with the America Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ABCCI)’s USA Trade Mission to Bangladesh on 23 December 2024.

USA is currently the largest investing country in Bangladesh, the total investment so far being about $3 billion. Another $1.5 billion is in the pipeline to develop power plants as well as coal, mine, and fertilizer plants. With a liberal investment climate, low cost of doing business, and a growing consumer market, returns on investments of US businesses in Bangladesh are apparently very high. In such as a win-win business dynamic, Bangladesh encourages more flow of FDI from the USA to accelerate economic growth of the country and help fulfilling its dream of becoming a middle-income country by 2021. Bangladesh and US bilateral Investment Agreement and Convention on avoidance of double taxation between the two countries were signed in 1986 and 2004 related to the US investment in Bangladesh.

ABCCI is collaborating with the Bangladesh Embassy Washington D.C., the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Dhaka to coordinate the mission and facilitate business-to-business (B2B) meetings for the Florida participants. Additionally, mission participants will benefit from networking events and meeting contacts outside of the scheduled B2B Interactive meetings. I encourage you to join this important mission as we continue the work of creating jobs in Florida through the promotion of international trade.
